Recap: Track Houston XC Meet

Even the muddiest of paths can’t slow the Katy Express. On a cold wet day, the Express put up some excellent results at the Track Houston meet at the White Oak Conference Center on October 26th.

On a day where assistant coach and path trailblazer Dan Morgan advised all the athletes to “lace ‘em up tight” due to the sloppy conditions, the team had one of its better performances of the year.

Madison Morgan finished 3rd overall in the 13-14 girls division. Teammate Madison Ferow finished 7th in the same race while Nikitha Kishore-Kumar posted an 8th place finish.

Among 11-12 year old girls, Rowan Saake had another outstanding performance as she finished in second place. On the boys’ side, Katy Express once again held the 7th and 8th spots thanks to Griffen Saake and Aiden Johnson.

Among 9-10 year old girls, Emmy Jane Kirkland took home a tenth place ribbon.

In the 8 and under division, Gage Virga came in 5th and Elias Mollett came in 9th.

This train does not plan on slowing down until after the Gulf Championships.
